Digicel Samoa announces that its Chief Executive Officer, Anthony Seuseu, will be stepping down in November 2024. After a successful five-year tenure with Digicel Pacific, including over three years at the helm of Digicel Tonga and over a year leading Digicel Samoa, Anthony will be returning to New Zealand with his family.

Throughout his time at Digicel Pacific, Anthony's leadership has been characterised by significant accomplishments. As CEO of Digicel Tonga, he successfully navigated through unprecedented challenges including the COVID-19 pandemic, the devastating volcanic eruption and tsunami in 2022, and the Telstra acquisition. His strategic guidance and resilience were instrumental in the company’s recovery and growth.

In April 2023, Anthony took on the role of CEO for Digicel Samoa, where he has delivered exceptional results including the successful launch of Samoa’s first 5G services.

He commented; “Working at Digicel Pacific has been the most rewarding experience of my professional career. I wanted to give back to my Pacific people on a professional level and I feel I have achieved that in my five years here. Digicel Pacific makes a difference in the communities they operate in.”

Anthony will remain committed to supporting the Digicel Samoa team remotely until a new CEO is appointed.

Digicel Pacific Regional HUB Markets CEO, Shally Jannif, said; “We would like to express our sincere gratitude to Anthony for his outstanding leadership and dedication. His contributions to the company and the Pacific region have been invaluable. We wish him all the best in his future endeavours.”
