Apia, Samoa – Thursday, 1st Dec 2025

Digicel Samoa continues its commitment to delivering  increased network coverage and a better connectivity experience for all customers, with the launch of two new mobile tower sites in Salelologa and Sasaai, Savaii.

These new sites significantly strengthen coverage and capacity across Savaii, improving mobile services for families, businesses, and communities in and around the surrounding villages. The construction of these 40 meter steel mobile towers will give customers access to faster mobile data speeds , better voice quality, and more reliable connectivity for a variety of uses — from streaming and social media, to business operations, tourism, and mobile money transactions through MyCash.

With these additions, Digicel Samoa, as part of its WST $23m tala network investment in 2025, has now launched six new tower sites in Savaii, with mobile towers in Falelima and Samalaeulu scheduled to go live before the end of 2025. This forms part of Digicel Samoa’s ongoing national network expansion project, focused on greater rural and regional coverage across Savaii and Upolu, building on Digicel Samoa’s earlier announcements regarding network expansion and new tower installations across Upolu and Savai‘i.

Digicel Samoa CEO, Karl Vizvary, said the continued investment reflects Digicel Samoa responsibility as Samoa’s leading mobile provider.

“Connectivity is essential for every Samoan household, village and business. Our team remains committed to further expanding and improving Digicel Samoa’s coverage in Savaii. .”

Digicel Samoa thanks the villages of Salelologa and Sasaai, the matai councils, and surrounding communities for their support and cooperation throughout the network expansion project.
